Zach Messer and M.L. Williams each hit a pair of doubles as Lipscomb Bisons beat Canisius 6-5 Sunday 
afternoon at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.

Messer drove in a game-high and team season-high five runs. Messer and Williams tied for the team season high for doubles in a game.
Shawn Mehring also had a double giving the Bisons a team season high for doubles with five.

The Bisons pounded out 12 hits, tying the team season high set against Murray St. Feb. 20.
The Bisons set a team season high for total bases with 20. It was the second time in the series the Bisons had six runs batted in.

Lead-off batter Tyler Wilson, Williams and Messer combined for six hits in the top three positions in the order.

Sophomore right-hander Davey Hackett continued to solidify his role as the No. 3 starter in the rotation. He evened his record at 1-1, going seven innings and allowing six hits and four runs, all earned. He walked three and struck out six.

Chad Fromm pitched the final two innings and picked up his first save of the season. He gave up three hits and one run. He walked on batter.

The Bisons are back in action at home Tuesday and Wednesday against Youngstown State. Both games will start at 4.
